Dencon’s design philosophy is that every choice is made with the environment in mind. We take our share and responsibility in taking care of everyone’s home - the earth. At Dencon, environmental awareness is not just something we say. We have been ISO 14001 certified since 2002 and since then have also become certified according to both the FSC and EU Ecolabel.
The fact is, we don't only care about our furniture looking good and being functional, we also care about how they have been produced and we take the best possible care of our shared earth. Openness and a constructive dialogue are important values for us. Therefore our corporate environment policy and environmental accounting policies are, of course, published.
Dencon is FSC® certified. FSC® stands for Forest Stewardship Council®, an international non-profit organisation and certification scheme for timber and paper, ensuring responsible and climate-conscious production practices.
The majority of materials used in our wood-based products are FSC® certified. We provide documentation for products manufactured from FSC® certified materials, enabling traceability of the product and its FSC® certified components.
This certification ensures that timber and paper come from responsibly managed forests, where trees are not harvested faster than the forest can regenerate. Additionally, FSC® guarantees protection of wildlife and habitats, provides education, safety equipment, and fair wages to forest workers. FSC® also contributes to at least 14 of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals.

Dencon is certified according to ISO 14001. This ensures that we have an environmental management system in place to provide quick and simple documentation confirming we are familiar with the environmental impact resulting from our manufacturing methods and our products themselves. Plus, this system also ensures that we continue working on reducing our environmental impact.
Our goal remains for our production methods and products to provide the smallest environmental impact possible. We believe that openness and a constructive dialogue are important values. Therefore our corporate environment policy and environmental accounting policies, etc. are published.
When we produce and sell furniture, we don’t just think about the people who work every day in an office environment from Dencon. We think about everyone in the entire process from when the tree is felled until the furniture is delivered to the customer. This is because this is the absolutely right thing to do.
Therefore, we have an attitude towards the environment and CSR in a broad sense. For example, this means we ensure that there is a proper working environment - when the tree is being felled and processed and when the furniture is being produced and that throughout the process, the employees have access to the correct safety equipment. At the same time, we also have an attitude towards education, for example, and the number of women in the workplace - because it is only fair.
